Greenville man dies in I-65 crash

A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, has claimed the life of a Greenville man.
Sylvester Seawright Jr., 36, was critically injured when the 2021 Volvo VNR tractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway, struck a signpost and several trees. Seawright was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate Highway 65 near the 147-mile maker, approximately five miles north of Fort Deposit, in Lowndes County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
