The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles denied the parole petition from an inmate serving time for burglary convictions in Butler County.
On Jan. 20, the board voted to deny parole to Justin Earl Boggan, 35. He is currently housed in the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility, serving 20 years for first-degree promoting prison contraband handed down in May 2023.
Duncan previously served three years of a ten-year term for unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle. He was granted parole in 2016.
Prior to that conviction, Boggan served one year and seven months of a two-year-and-seven-months term for burglary in the second degree.
The Board reset Duncan’s next hearing date for June 2025.
The board heard 14 parole petitions on Nov. 20, granting five and denying nine. The board also held 10 pardon hearings, granting seven and denying three.
