A multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:55 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, has claimed the life of a Montgomery man.
Thaddeus G. Richardson Jr., 34, was fatally injured when the 2014 Ford Mustang he was sitting in was struck by a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Benjamin A. Carpenter, 41, of Daphne. The Mustang was stationary in the roadway, involved in a previous crash.
The Mustang’s driver’s side door was open at the time of the collision. Richardson was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Before striking the Mustang, the Silverado was struck in the rear end by a 2014 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Donald A. Richardson, 66, of Hudson, Florida. After the colliding with the Silverado, the Kenworth then struck a 2025 Freightliner tractor-trailer in the rear-end.
The Freightliner was driven by Dontrell A. Dorsey, 22, of Abbeville. After striking the Freightliner, the Kenworth was struck in the rear-end by a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by David B. Colston, 50, of Montgomery.

Carpenter was injured and transported to Greenville Regional Medical Center for treatment. A 1-year-old, who was a passenger in the Mustang, was also injured and transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
