According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Harris was not wearing his seat belt in the vehicle he was driving, a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Troopers from ALEA’s Highway Department, the Butler County EMA, Butler County Sheriff’s Department, Greenville Fire Department and M&D Fire Departments responded to the accident.

An LP Gas Board Investigator was brought onto the scene, and the propane gas truck involved was said to have had no sign of leakage.

In a social media post around 8 p.m. Monday, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office announced the incident, and asked residents to avoid the area.

Troopers will continue to investigate the crash.
