Governor Kay Ivey on Thursday will host the 76th Annual Turkey Pardoning at the Alabama Governor’s Mansion. This week, the Alabama public has the opportunity to vote on the names of the two turkeys, provided by the Bates Turkey Farm, via X poll. Governor Ivey will announce the winning names of the turkeys during her remarks.
Joining the governor will be Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries Commissioner Rick Pate, Johnny Adams with the Alabama Egg & Poultry Association, as well as Becky Bates Sloane. Montgomery Christian School and Riverchase Day School students will also participate in the program.
The program is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Central Standard Time.
