The Lurleen B. Wallace Community (LBW) College Foundation will host its annual Camellia City Classic golf tournament on Oct. 16 at the Robert Trent Jones (RTJ) Golf Trail at Cambrian Ridge in Greenville.
“This four-person scramble is a fun way to support our Saints while raising funds for scholarships, student activities and dual enrollment incentives,” said LBW Marketing Director Maggie Mash. “This annual event has become a community favorite, not just for its friendly competition, but for the lasting impact it has on our students’ educational aspirations.”
Sponsorship opportunities are available at various levels. Sponsors will have their names and logos prominently displayed on event materials, the college website, and at the tournament. Additionally, those wishing to contribute directly can make tax-deductible donations of any amount to the LBW Foundation, which last year awarded over $250,000 in scholarships and funded $120,000 for special projects across the college’s three campuses.
The tournament will kick off with a catered lunch at 11:00 a.m., followed by a $10,000 putting contest and a shotgun start at 12:00 noon. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event. To participate or inquire about sponsorship opportunities, individuals can register online or contact LBW Director of Institutional Advancement, Chrissie Duffy, at 334-881-2390.
