Adair chosen for CLAS board

The Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) has selected Lisa Adair, assistant superintendent for instructional and federal programs of Butler County Schools, to serve on the esteemed CLAS Board of Directors. Adair was chosen by the Alabama Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (AASCD) to join the distinguished group of educational leaders who are dedicated to advancing excellence in leadership and promoting positive change in Alabama schools.
“Ms. Adair is an exceptional leader in our district and has recently been named as Assistant Superintendent for Butler County Schools.” said Butler County Schools Superintendent Joe Eiland. “It is an honor and a very prestigious appointment as the CLAS organization is foremost in our state in developing and helping to create great school leaders.”
The CLAS board plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction and initiatives of CLAS, a premier professional organization committed to supporting and empowering educational leaders across the state. Through their expertise, vision and advocacy, the members provide strategic guidance and ensure that CLAS continues to meet the evolving needs of educational leaders and the students they serve.
In the AASCD Director role on the board, Adair will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative programs, resources and initiatives that address the challenges and opportunities facing educational leaders in Alabama. Their insights and expertise will play a vital role in shaping the future of educational leadership and promoting continuous improvement in schools across the state.
Reflecting on the incoming board, Dr. Vic Wilson, executive director for CLAS, expressed his excitement.

The CLAS Board of Directors comprises individuals from various educational roles and backgrounds, united by their shared commitment to elevating educational leadership and improving outcomes for all students.
The Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools, was founded in 1969 by a small group of school leaders to provide targeted professional learning and support for Alabama’s public school administrators. The organization now serves thirteen affiliates representing each type of public school/school system leader. CLAS provides the framework to connect dedicated school administrators and other successful leaders with a network for professional growth and support. CLAS is the premier professional learning provider for administrators in public schools in the state of Alabama.
