The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) has started a resurfacing project on State Road-185 in Greenville beginning at US Highway 31 and continuing to the end of the bridge over the CSX railroad today. The project includes micro-milling, resurfacing, and new traffic stripe.
Motorists should be aware of temporary lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project, which may cause delays.
Motorists should be mindful of equipment and people in the work zones.
The agency awarded the project to APAC-Alabama, Inc., out of Birmingham, who had the lowest bid that met project requirements, at a cost of approximately $1.5 million. The project is expected to be completed by Winter 2024.
