The Butler County Revenue Commissioner’s Office has scheduled the annual tax lien auction for 2021 delinquent property tax for April 19, 2022. The auction will be held virtually this year.

Properties on the delinquent list that are up for auction can be viewed at the county website, www.butlercountyal.com or at www.govease.com. A list of property is also available at the Revenue Office located at the Butler County Courthouse, posted outside the door.

Registration at www.govease.com is required before the auction in order to participate. Bidders pay only the tax amount due, late fees and interest. Bidders who win will receive a tax lien certificate. Property owners must pay any prior tax lien before paying subsequent year’s taxes.

After three years, if the lien is still not redeemed, foreclosure procedures can begin.
