Elaine Tate Walling, born in 1931 in Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, at her home in Grapeland, Texas, surrounded by her husband of 66 years, Daniel D. Walling, their two daughters, Laura Walling and Teresa Bennett, and their spouses and their children, all residing in Grapeland.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul E. (Ben) and Eddie May Coleman Tate of Greenville, her older brother Edward Duke Tate of Fort Worth, Texas, and her sister Mabel Frances (Polly) Tate Crumpton of Montgomery. In addition to her Texas family, she is survived by her sister Glenda Tate Pitts Fritz. Greenville; her brothers Paul E. Tate, Jr., Greenville; and James Benjamin Tate, Fairhope, Alabama, and many nieces and nephews.
