Frank Ross McGinnis, Jr, age 70 of Greenville, Alabama died after a brief illness on Wednesday, September 29 at Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama.

Frank’s memorial service happened Saturday, October 2, at First Baptist Church in the Family Life Center.

Reverend John Girdley and Brother Jerry Wilkerson officiated.

His wife Joanne McGinnis and his parents Frank and Mary McGinnis precede him in death.

His current wife, Gerri McGinnis; son, Jason McGinnis (Toni); daughters, Sarah Baker (Chris) and Abby Dodson (Adam) survive him.

Additionally, his step-sons, Dave Crenshaw (Amanda) and Adam Crenshaw (Patra)eight grandchildren and his very dear friend and sidekick Clarence Rudolph survive him.

Frank was born July 23, 1953 in Greenville, AL to Frank Ross McGinnis, Sr and Mary Emma Childs McGinnis.

Mr. McGinnis’s father was a career Air Force veteran.

Therefore, Frank lived in many cities in the United States and several foreign countries, graduating high school in Spain.

Frank, known by many as Frankie, had many interests and was a very unique person.

He loved to fly small airplanes and sail on his sailboat; being the Captain of his latest boat the “Lizzie Cate”, named for his girls Sarah and Abby.

In addition to this, he loved horses, and was a rodeo cowboy. Frank loved his God, his family and church.

He enjoyed playing the bass in the praise band.

He loved serving as Deacon and on several committees in the church.
