Georgiana falls to Kinston

The Georgiana Panthers lost their second region game against the Kinston Bulldogs in Friday’s away game.

Kinston added points to the board halfway through the first quarter after a 27-yard rushing touchdown by Drew Conner. The Bulldogs led the Panthers 7-0.

Kinston held the Panthers back after they received the ball on their 43-yard line after kickoff.

Georgiana then punted away to the Kinston 20-yard line.

At the end of the first quarter, the score remained 7-0.

Throughout the second quarter, the Panther defense worked hard to prevent the Bulldogs from scoring.

But with just five minutes left in the first quarter, the Bulldogs successfully kicked a 15-yard field goal and extended their lead over the Panthers.

By halftime, the Bulldogs led the Panthers 10-0.

The Panthers successfully prevented Kinston from scoring throughout the second half, but the offense was still having trouble putting points on the board.

With under a minute left in the fourth quarter, Georgiana scored after Jacobie Morgan secured a four-yard rushing touchdown.

After a failed two-point conversion, the game ended with a loss of 10-6.

Georgiana will play off against Red Level for their homecoming on Friday, October 1.
