Guthrie N. Brooks, 86, of Greenville, AL passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.

His loving wife of 61 years Carol P. Brooks, daughters Pam Brooks and Liz Lowery (Jim)  grandson Doug Lowery (Kelly), great grandchildren Anniston and Dalton and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

His parents Robert Lee Brooks and Lutie Bell Brooks, sister Mary Chapman and brothers Reece, Monroe, Hubert, and Maxon Brooks preceded him in death.

Guthrie was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenville for over 56 years where he was a Deacon and faithfully served in numerous church leadership positions.

He brought so much joy and love to those who knew him and loved to make people smile.
