Mr. John Charles Lansdon, 67, a resident of Grady, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Noland Hospital on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. A graveside service for Mr. Lansdon was held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 9th, in Helicon Cemetery with Rev. Mike List officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mr. Lansdon was an excellent repairman who looked after people’s appliances for many, many years. He was even a Maytag Repairman at one point. In his free time, he loved spending it outdoors anywhere he could fish. At home, his daily habit was watching Alex Trebek on Jeopardy for decades, and everyone knew better than to disturb him during that time!! Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and brother. He enjoyed nothing better than spending time with his family and they will cherish every moment they had with him over the years.
Mr. Lansdon was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. & Evelyn Adams Lansdon, and his brother, Edward Lansdon. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Candy Wilson Lansdon; their son and daughter-in-law, Charles “Chuck” & Jennifer Lansdon; two brothers, Ronald (Dianne) Lansdon and Joe (Kim) Lansdon; and sister-in-law, Marrieanne Lansdon.
Active pallbearers were Brett Lansdon, Scott Lansdon, Matt Lansdon, Adam Lansdon, Rob Reynolds, and Jacob Tilley.
