Greenville Pediatrics has added a new member to their team, Rachel Moss, a nurse practitioner from Washington County.

“I have always had a passion for taking care of babies. As I grew in my career, I realized I wanted to continue to care for my patients after birth. I knew I wanted to pursue my NP so I could continue to be there for my patients through the different parts of their lives. I want my patients to feel as if I am a part of their family, and they are a part of mine,” she said.

Moss is a graduate of the University of West Alabama, The University of Alabama, and Auburn University and previously worked as a registered nurse for 10 years, mainly in labor and delivery.

Moss and her husband Brian, a local State Farm Agent, decided to move to Greenville in March 2015, because they fell in love with the “small town feel.”

She also mentioned that Greenville’s people are so welcoming. She knew this is where she wanted to rear a family.

“I am very fortunate to work at Greenville Pediatrics. We have an amazing group of nurses, providers, and office support staff. From the moment I started working here, I was made to feel like a part of a close-knit family. At Greenville Pediatrics, we have the unique opportunity to provide great care to our patients by treating them like family, which allows us to know their individual needs,” said Moss.

Moss said that everyone at the clinic works well together, each day they have three to four providers seeing patients in the office.

“It is easy to tell that each person has a passion for what he or she does,” said Moss.

Greenville Pediatrics has seen anywhere from 15-40 patients a day per provider. The number of patients seen daily varies depending on the type of visit (i.e. Is it a simple or complex visit?). Each provider has a nurse assigned to him/her for the day. We also have an in-house CMA with a specialty in phlebotomy.

As of right now, Moss has no interest in becoming a doctor, she said.

Moss plans on enjoying her time with her family, including her husband, 3-year-old daughter, Emma, and their two Teddy Roosevelt terrier, Scooter, and Gracie.
