Election set for Nov. 3

The general election is approaching quickly, and whether you plan to line up November 3 or vote early, it’s important to know who’s going to be on the ballot in your county.

Several candidates in Butler County will be running unopposed, but various seats will be contested. Butler county races are as follows:

Butler County Revenue Commissioner: Deborah B. Crews (D) Unopposed

District Court Judge, Butler County: Brandon Collins (D) & Nicki McFerrin (R)

Butler County Commission District 1: Joey Peavy (R) Unopposed

Butler County Commission District 2: Jessie McWilliams (D) Unopposed

Butler County Commission District 3: Frank Hickman (D) and Rebecca Butts (R)

Butler County Commission District 4: Allin Whittle (D) Unopposed

Butler County Commission District 5: Arron Darrell Sanders (D) and Johnny Stapleton (R)

Butler County Board of Education District 1: Michael Nimmer (R) and Joel Dene McCoy (I)

Butler County Board of Education District 2: Carolyn Kelly Crenshaw (D) Unopposed

Butler County Board of Education District 3: Brandon Sellers (R) Unopposed

Butler County Board of Education District 4: Kelvin B. Mitchell (D) and R. Wayne Boswell (I)

Butler County Board of Education District 5: Klesia Cook (D), Eric Gomllion (R) and Jacqueline Davison (I)

Voters will also see state and federal voting on the ballots as well.  Those are as follows:

President and Vice-President of the United States:

Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris (D)

Donald Trump and Michael Pence  (R)

Jo Jorgensen and Jeremy Cohen (I)

United States Senator: Doug Jones (D) and Tommy Tuberville (R)

United States Representative, 2nd Congressional District: Phyllis Harvey-Hill (D) and Barry Moore (R)
