The Greenville Planning Commission on Monday OK’d plans for Camellia Collision to build a brand new body shop on the Greenville Bypass.

The business just purchased the property at 558 Greenville Bypass and there is currently one huge building on the site, but they will be building another to make it what they call “the perfect collision center,” which is a dream come true for owner Jason Reaves.

Reaves’ wife, Janet, said that Jason is  from Greenville and moved to Florida, where he ran a collision shop and that it’s always been his dream to run a world-class collision shop in Greenville.

He got the beginnings of his dreams a few years ago when he purchased a collision shop locally.

Plans include turning the existing building into a state-of-the-art paint shop.

The new paint shop will include some amazing new items, including a new GFS paint booth.

The shop will include bigger bay doors, aluminum air lines and LED lighting has already been installed.

Plans are to have the new paint shop up and running next month.

A new body shop will give technicians Richard Huggins and Stacey Wright some added room to perform multiple vehicle repairs.

The new body shop will feature a much-needed vehicle lift and upgraded frame machine and measuring system.

“We are hoping to have this building completed by the end of the year,” Janet said. “This new site will also include a completely fenced in garage area. This is big news for us because it means all vehicles will be inside our secure area from the day they are dropped off until the day they are picked up.”

A new area has been created for window tinting, as well.

That area is separate from the paint and body shop.

“We are also very excited about the new customer waiting area and front offices,” Janet said. “Not to mention updated restrooms for our guests. Our office staff plan to move into the new building by the end of the month.”
