It was a tough night for McKenzie as the Tigers fell to Brantley by a final score of 61-2. There was reason to believe that the Tigers could make this a close game after their impressive win over Red Level. However, the bulldogs proved to be too much of a challenge.

Brantley QB Tucker Kilcrease opened the game with a nice 48-yard TD run down the right side of the field to put the bulldogs up 7-0.

McKenzie would then score their lone points of the night on a safety, cutting the deficit to 6-2.

Brantley seemingly did not take too kindly to surrendering their first points of the season, as they would proceed to rip off 55 straight points – starting with a beautiful 49-yard TD to WR Westley Person pass to put the bulldogs up 14-2 with a successful 2-point conversion.

Brantley would then strike again after Kilcrease threw a 21-yard TD pass to Kenuwyn Dixon. After this, the floodgates would open and Brantley would run away with the game.

It wasn’t just an offensive show from the bulldogs, either. The defense, which has only allowed two points all season stepped up again in a big way.

Middle Linebacker Walt Johnson finished with a forced fumble. William Cook tallied 4 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Luke Kilcrease finished with 1 tackle and 2 interceptions and Zack Johnson recorded 4.5 tackles and 3 tackles for loss.

Offensively, Brantley QB Tucker Kilcrease had another great showing, completing 84.6 percent of his passes for 190 yards, 0 INTs and 4 TDs.

Kenuwyn Dixon had 3 receptions for 47 yards and 2 TDs and Westley Person finished with 2 receptions for 65 yards and 2 TDs.

Brantley QB Tucker Kilcrease was named player of the game.

Brantley (3-0) looks ahead to Pleasant Home this Friday while McKenzie (1-1) hopes to recover against Samson.
