Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Wow. More than 12,000 votes have been cast already in our first-ever Readers’ Choice/Best of the Best!

As I said last week, we are so excited about this new contest we are able to offer and help promote the best that our local businesses have to offer.

There is still time to vote and vote some more.

Voting will close out on Sept. 18, but between now and then keep voting for your favorites.

We’ve heard from a lot of you about the competition and we see you guys sharing it on social media.

We’re having fun seeing you guys cast votes and we hope you guys are, too.

Of course, we love all of the Butler County businesses, but this contest gives our readers a way  of showcases your absolute favorites.

There are so many great places in Butler County. Local businesses are the backbone of communities far and wide and Greenville and Butler County are no different.

The Readers’ Choice voting is your opportunity to give the special recognition for the things they do well. It’s kind of a thank you for all the amazing things they do day in and day out for our community. It gives you a chance to say, “I really love the sweet tea at this restaurant” or “this steak is to die for.”

For those of you who haven’t voted yet, there are six categories for this year’s contest and 103 sub categories. You can write in anyone you want from the local community.

The winners will receive bragging rights for a year and a certificate from The Greenville Advocate.

So, tell us your favorites and spread the word.

Today’s edition of The Greenville Advocate also features a paper ballot on page 9 for those of you who prefer that method to casting votes online.

If you want extra copies to submit your votes, you can call our office at 334-382-3111 and we can mail you one.

Business owners, remember to let your patrons know to vote for your favorites.

We can’t wait to give a salute to the best of the best in Butler County, and we are so very thankful for our readers.

Butler County is unique and we have much to be thankful for here.

We hope you are as excited to honor our businesses as we are!

Keep those votes coming.
