Mr. Willard Jackson Bolding, 79, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama and formerly of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. A private graveside service was held for Mr. Bolding on Saturday, July 4th, in Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Malcolm Butts officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Bolding was born in Luverne, and spent most of his life there. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for several years, enjoying seeing other parts of the country. After his discharge, he went on to become an electrician for the City of Luverne, where he loved his work and the people with whom he worked. He thoroughly enjoyed his life, and firmly believed in living each day to its fullest. He had a rambunctious personality that helped him make friends no matter where he was. Ultimately, he was a loving son, father, brother, and uncle who will be sorely missed.

Mr. Bolding was preceded in death by his son, George “Buddy” Bolding; parents, Roy Gardner & Minnie Maud Rhodes Bolding; two siblings, Roy Doland Bolding and Kathleen Atwell; and two nephews, James Bolding and David Stephens. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Wanda J. & Mike Alphord; son, Mark Allen Bolding; nephew, Jessie R. Holley; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
