Mr. Robin Dwayne Kersker, 61, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. A private graveside service for Mr. Kersker was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27th, in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Rev. Robert Canant officiating and Turners Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Kersker had a gift for working with wood. He found his calling in carpentry early on, and he loved building anything he could think of out of wood. In his free time, he also enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and just enjoying nature. Above all, he was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Nothing delighted him more than spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, and he was eagerly awaiting the impending arrival of his first great-grandson. Those he leaves behind will cherish the time they spent with him and the memories that will last a lifetime.
Mr. Kersker was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sally Majors Kersker. He is survived by his daughter, Sandi Kersker (Josh Fuller); three grandchildren, Drew (Mahala) Tomlin, Anthony Spears, and David Lee Dillard; two great-grandchildren, Alora Tomlin and Andrew Holbert Tomlin V; three brothers, Jim (Susie) Kersker, Johny (Rita) Kersker, and Alton (Peggy) Kersker; and special friend, Lynn Marcum.
