Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2020, for Mrs. June Parker Joyner, 83, of McKenzie, who died on Friday, May 29. Alan Odom officiated.
Mrs. Joyner began her career in healthcare in 1972 and retired from Crowne Health Care of Greenville in 1999. She loved to travel with her husband in their RV and spending time at their house on Lake Martin. She loved to go antiquing and collecting knick-knacks. She was a lifelong member of Community of Christ church, formerly The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Her husband of 58 years, Rufus Wyatt Joyner; her parents, Joe Vickery Parker and Eddie Lee Parker, and brothers, Joe Ingram Parker and Melvin Wyatt Parker, preceded Mrs. Joyner in death.
Survivors include son, Danny Joyner; daughter, Michelle Joyner Skaggs (Paul); grandchildren, Erin Skaggs Weber (Stephen), Brad Joyner, Laurie Skaggs Varnon and Ashley Joyner; great grandchildren, Parker Joseph Weber and Olivia Charlotte Varnon and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Friends of Hospice account at Ivy Creek Hospice, 500 Hospital Dr., Wetumpka, AL. 36092.
