The Butler County Humane Society will meet from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Camellia Bakery the second Wednesday of each month.

Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church announces upcoming events

You are invited to Hickory Grove MBC for several upcoming programs and events located in Georgiana. The events will be as follows:

  • Choir anniversary, Saturday, March 14, at 6 p.m. and
  • Annual Prayer Breakfast, Saturday, April 4, at 9 a.m.

Brigadier General Robert E. Steiner historic marker event April 5

Please join the Steiner’s Store/Springcreek Homemakers Club at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, for the dedication of a new historic marker honoring Brigadier General Robert E. Steiner. The event will be held at the former site of Steiner’s Store, 12 miles northeast of Greenville on Steiner Store Road on the east side of the intersection with County Road 75.

Zeta Phi Beta Scholarship Luncheon scheduled for April 25

The Lambda Delta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority will hold the 2020 Centennial Finer Womanhood Scholarship Luncheon at 11 a.m.
Saturday, April 25 at the W.O. Parmer Cafetorium in Greenville.

Scholarship recipients and others will all be honored at this event. Please wear your hats. Prizes will be awarded to ladies and gentlemen. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students. For more information, contact Lillian Gardner at (334) 437-4352 or any member of Lambda Delta Zeta chapter. 

Community Christian Church Spring Revival March 16-18

Community Christian Church Ministries located on Manningham Road will host its Spring Revival at  7 p.m. nightly, March 16-18.

BCHGS will meet April 26 at Searcy Schoolhouse

The Butler County Historical & Genealogical Society will meet at the historic Searcy Schoolhouse on County Road 45 (Airport Road) at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 26.

The Searcy Homemakers Club will install a new historical marker and host the meeting as a Bicentennial Community Event.
