A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Mobile for Mattie Jo Thompson Tomaso, 90, of Foley, who passed away on Saturday, July 13. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass.

Mattie was a devout member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and performed various charitable acts with the church throughout her life.

Her husband, Salvatore L. Tomaso, and son, William John “Billy” Tomaso, preceded Mattie in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Joanne (Herbert) Hulsey of Foley and Patty Domzalski of Valparaiso, Ind.; son, Michael (Becky) Tomaso of Fairhope; grandchildren, Lexy Herboso, Eric Herboso, Maddie Tomaso, Michael Tomaso II,  Ann Richardson, Chad M. Kelly, Bobby Kelly and Amanda Kelly; five great grandchildren; former son-in-law, Bob Kelly, and other loving relatives and friends.
