A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, from the Johnson Funeral Chapel for Carolyn O. Pettie, 75, of Greenville, and formerly of Georgiana, who passed away on Friday, March 22. Burial followed in Brooks Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Harvill and the Rev. Tyre Bowen officiated. A Gathering of Family and Friends was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 25.

Survivors include sons, Ron (Teresa) Bass of Pigeon Creek, Monte (Paula) Bass of Georgiana and Brian Pettie of Birmingham; sister, Jane Habeggar of Niceville, Fla. and seven grandchildren.
