Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Ft. Deposit United Methodist Church for Robert Malcolm Smith, 59, of Ft. Deposit, who died Saturday, March 2, in Ft. Deposit. Burial will follow at Myrtle Wood Cemetery in Ft. Deposit. Pastor Dennis Carlson will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday, March 10.

Mr. Smith was born March 2, 1960. His parents, Ted Smith and Evelyn Hawkins Smith, preceded him in death.

Survivors include cousins, Louise Strickland, Ricky Strickland (Debra), Michael Strickland (Reda), Terry Strickland (Ploem), David Strickland (Peggy), Jan Maund, Bobby Hawkins, Debbie Hawkins, Patty Hawkins (David), Ed Hawkins, Gaylin Hawkins, Billy Smith and Debbie Cole, and aunt, Ann Smit.

Pallbearers will be Henry Golson, David Strickland, Charles Heartsill, Randy Adams, Dodd McGuee, James Reynolds, Steve Foster and Joey Bargainer. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Schofield, Charles Derico, Ren Heartsill, Doug Harris, Bruce Palmer, Max Conway, Tootie Chambliss, Darrell Heartsill, Tommy Barganier, Kenneth McGuee, Walter Nolan, Clay Nolan, Wade Nolan and the coffee club.
