A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Leffion for Cecil House, 86, of Leffion, who passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The Rev. Rogene Booker officiated. A Gathering of Family and Friends was held from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday, Jan. 18.

A son, Scottie House, preceded Cecil in death.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita House of Leffion; sons, Donnie House and Jeff House, both of Leffion, and Lance House of Monroeville; daughter, Catherine Ronney of Leffion; three grandchildren, Adam House of Leffion, Michael House of Evergreen and Kim Bluhm of Birmingham; a special Godchild, Sissy Pratter, and a number of great grandchildren.
