A graveside service was held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at Madison Cemetery for James Andrew “Andy” Owens, 54, of Madison, who died Friday, Oct. 19 at his home. Owens and his family are originally from Greenville.

His father, Arthur James Owens; infant daughter, Caitlyn Elizabeth Owens; stepbrother, Raymond Hamilton Jr., uncles, Lamon (Will Dean) Owens, Raymond (Eleanor) Owens and Jesse (Trixie) Owens; aunts, Opal (Monk) Gillespie, EllaRuth (Bill) Smith and Sandra (Gene) Jackson; grandparents, L.K. and Ruth Owens, and Zellie and Mary Layton preceded Owens in death.

He is survived by his wife, Kristina J. Owens; daughter, Emily Layton Owens; mother Mary Frances “Fran” Hamilton; uncles, Robert (Barbara) Layton, Ray (Karol) Layton; aunt, Mollie Faye (Eric) Webster; close friend, Brent Gordon and a number of friends and cousins.
