Humane Society seeks donations: The Butler County Humane Society is seeking donations for its Hidden Treasures booth. Your gently used items in good working order are desperately needed. Home and garden décor, pet-themed items, toys, games and stuffed animals, kitchen appliances, sporting equipment, CD, DVDs, books and accessories (no clothing please). Items should be dropped off at the Shell Depot on Fort Dale Rd in Greenville. For more info, contact Kimberly Matthews at 437-2150.

Homecoming and Revival Service: Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church will be held Oct. 14-18 beginning at 2:00. Nightly services will start at 7:00 p.m. All churches and community are invited to attend.

 

Church Homecoming: The Mills Chapel Church of God will hold a homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. Bro. Bobby Pitts will deliver with local singing. Food will follow.

 

School Spirits-Ghost Stories from Alabama’s College Campuses: Lurleen B. Wallace Community College will host an historical event highlighting ghost stories from colleges around the state of Alabama. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25. Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.

 

Old Time Farm Day: Greenville’s annual Old Time Farm Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2828 Sand Cut Road beginning at 9 a.m. Admission for students is $2 and $3 for adults. For more information call (334) 382-2295. For vendor information call (334) 382-8989.

 

St. Thomas Episcopal Bake Sale 2018: Begins Friday, Nov. 9, from 10 A.M.- 1 P.M. No pre-sale items. Angel cards will also be available.

 

Miss Merry Christmas Pageant: Pageant will be held at the Ritz Theatre in Greenville on December 8 beginning at 10 a.m. The pageant is open for ages 0-18 year-olds. For more information contact Michelle Styron at 334-662-7923. The deadline to register is November 23.
