Funeral services were held at noon on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Pine Grove Baptist Church for Mr. Ledell Moore, 55, who passed on Saturday, July 14, 2018, in Birmingham. Burial followed in the Pine Grove Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. Dwight Woods officiated.

Mr. Moore was born on Jan. 23, 1963, to the late Charlie Smith Jr. and Louise Moore.

A daughter, Mary Cox; sister, Mary Pettway; grandmother, Ruby Moore, and two grandfathers, Eugene Moore Sr. and Charlie Smith Sr., all preceded Mr. Moore in death.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Stella Moore; daughter, Jennifer Cox of Alberta; three sons, Larry (Komesha) Cox of Birmingham and Eric Cox and Derrick Cox, both of Alberta; four sisters, Brenda (Jamie) Grimes of Safford, Deborah (John) Williams of Alberta and Queenie Hall and Ida Hall, both of Selma; four brothers, Charlie (Barbara) Moore, Steven (Felicia) Moore and Sylvester Moore, all of Alberta, and Johnnie Moore of Selma; four sisters-in-law, Bettie Cox, Mary Burrell and Dorell (W.R.) Twilley, all of Catherine, and Shirley Cox of Mobile; three brothers-in-law, Sammie (Earlean) Cox of Catherine and Milton (Diane) Cox and Bryant (Lisa) Cox, all of Boston, Mass.; four aunts, Rosie (Cecil) Williams of Safford and Emma Moore, Florine Smith and Emmia (Dan) Smith, all of Alberta; six uncles, Eddie (Brenda) Moore, Richard (Helen) Moore, Lee Moore, Eugene Moore Jr. and C.L. Smith, all of Alberta, and Ledell Smith of Mobile; devoted grandmother, Corine Smith of Alberta; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
