A Celebration of Life service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018, from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Fredrick Lavell Davis, 82, of McKenzie, who passed away on  Thursday, July 12. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 15.

His wife, JoAnn Pruitt Davis; son, Jimmy Davis; parents, James William and Sadie Wright Davis, and brothers, Joseph Davis and O’Neal Davis, preceded Lavell in death.

Survivors include his son, Jeff Davis of McKenzie; sister, Bonnie Garner of McKenzie; grandchildren, Jacob Davis, Tanner Davis, Chance Davis and Ethan Davis; six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
