Guardian Credit Union at 322 Greenville Bypass is moving to a new location on Willow Lane near Walmart Supercenter.

Work at the new site began in March. Project Manager David Herring said he expects the new building to be ready no later than October.

He said the new building will be 3,800 square feet and the parking lot will be able to accommodate 20 cars.

Branch manager Brenda Simmons said she and the staff are looking forward to the move.

“I’ve only been here for a year and a half but I know this project has been a long time coming,” she said. “There will be an onsite ATM, new kiosks and all the latest tech. There will also be a nice waiting area and a conference room.”

Simmons added that there will be a drive-thru canopy as well.

“The weather has cooperated pretty well so far,” Simmons said. “We’re all very excited to be in this new location with a brand new building.”
