Mrs. Benettia Morris, 44, departed her life on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, AL.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Chapel of Carter Rice & West Funeral Home, 10 Chalet Drive, Greenville, AL. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 starting at 12:00 noon at House of God Church, 112 Lincoln Street, Greenville, AL with Carter Rice & West Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Benettia Morris was born February 21, 1974 to the late Mr. Sam and Alberta Powell in Greenville, Alabama. She graduated from James Hill House High School of New Haven, Ct.  She worked as a correctional officer and a nurse’s aide until her health begin to decline. Benettia was a fun loving person. She nourished everyone around her with her love and faith and joy.  Benettia had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.

She confessed her life to Christ. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband: Devis Coleman; two loving girls: Aryone Eford and Mercades Eford;  mother-n-law: Gloria D. Cogman Coleman; father-n-law: Willie E. Coleman; four brothers: Willie (Dianna) Morris, Anthony (Jeanette) Morris, Marvin Earl Crenshaw, Lee (Greta) Jenkins; two devoted sisters: Samantha (Levi) Coleman and Quin Carter; two sister-n-laws: Pamela Coleman and Ashley Coleman;  one brother-n-law: Justin Coleman.  She also leaves behind four nephews: Anthony Boone, La’Javon Smith, King Jenkins, and Antroine (Melissa) Feagin; eleven nieces: Jamorrica Peagler, Johniquia Canaty, Aremeiyah Morris, Layla Smith, Lexus Jenkins, Chastidy Jenkins, Quindajah Carter, Zaniyah Carter, and Laqueshia (Joshua) Hawkins; five special cousins: Sarah Marsh, Alanah Smith, Dianna Womack, Greg Griffin and LaFredrick “Binky” Warren; a loving God mother:  Shirley Moore and a host of aunts and uncles family and friends.
