Funeral services for the late Mrs. Janice D. Porterfield, who passed on April 6, 2018, were held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Mt. Moriah #1 Baptist Church, Hayneville, Ala.

Rev. Joe F. Holcombe Jr., Senior Pastor, Rev. Jerome Hinson, officiated.

Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery.

Hudson Funeral Services, of Greenville, Ala. directed.

Mrs. Janice Denise Porterfield was born August 29, 1963 in Montgomery, Ala. to the late A.C. and Mary K. Porterfield.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Moriah.

Niecey attended Montgomery Public Schools.

She graduated in 1982 from Sidney Lanier High School.

She also attended Trenholm State Technical College and Job Corps as well.

Neicey was a practical joker; she loved to laugh and make others laugh also.

She never met a person she could not strike up a conversation with.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Leonard (Dre); parents, A.C. & Mary K. Porterfield, one brother, First Class Master Sergeant Leopold Porterfield, Sr. (Shirley).

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughters, Demitious Porterfield, Yolanda Porterfield and Mary Porterfield (Roger Reeves) all of Elmore, AL; two grandchildren, Mai Khya Porterfield and Jaceon Reeves of Elmore, Ala.; four sisters, Annie (Sam) Blue, Sharon Porterfield, Mary Houston and Audrey (K.K) Jones of Montgomery, AL; two brothers, James Porterfield (Jim) and Bryant Porterfield, Montgomery, Ala.;
two uncles, J. R. Knight (Stein) Hayneville, Ala., Bill Porterfield (Lula) Montgomery, Ala.; five aunts, Irene Goodwin of Birmingham, Ala., Gladys (Joe) Bradley of Pontiac, Mi,, Luella Davis of Pontiac, Mi., Mattie Mosley of Lavergne, TN and Eva (Charles) Brown of Pontiac, Mi., and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends; a devoted cousin, Nicholas Moore a special cousin, Barbara Cook and devoted friend Rose.
