Funeral services for the late Mr. Gary Shephard were held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 12:00 noon from Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Rev.Dr. James Hall, Pastor, Pastor Zollie Owens Jr., officiated.

Military honor burial followed in the churchyard cemetery.

Mr. Gary “Shep” Maurice Shephard, born in Greenville, Ala., a current native of McAllen, Tx., born March 9, 1978, exchanged this life for peaceful sleep on April 2, 2018 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Gary leaves to cherish and to carry on his legacy: Wife, Clashena “Shena” Shephard, three Sons: Isaiah “Bink”, Rickey “Duece”, Isaiah “Zay”; one Daughter, Lailah Brielle “Mommush”,  all of McAllen Tx.; Parents, Nancy & Joseph Young, Sr., Daphne, AL, Steve & Linda Shephard, Greenville, Ala.; In-laws, Clorette & Leonard Robinson, Miami, Fl; One Devoted Sister: Felicia “Nickie” Shephard; (Children- “Uncle Gary was not just an uncle, he was like a Father to us”- Kameron “Shod”, Keyonte “Tae”, Alana “Lana”, Rory ” Chris”, & Jeremiah “Jeh”), all of Daphne, AL; one Great Nephew, Kamdyn (son of Kameron), two Step-Brother: Joshua “Josh” Powell (Jasmine Powell), (Children-Jaylen “Smooth”, Joshua Jr, & Jacelen), Greenville, Ala.; Joseph “Lil Joe” Young, Jr., Daphne, Ala.; Grandparents: Annie Murphy, Greenville, Ala., Early B. Shephard (Patricia Shephard) Detroit, Mi.; two sister-in-Laws: Clarissa Robinson (Children- Jairus & Javares); Clatavia Robinson, (Janiyah, Janay, Rashad, & Nathan) Miami, FL; Brother-in-Laws: Deonandre Robinson & Urijah Robinson; (Child, Urijah, Jr.),  Miami, Fla.; thirteen living Aunts including one adoring Aunt, Patricia Shephard & one beloved Aunt, Mabeline Hamilton, thirteen living uncles, a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, family, & friends. Gary was preceded in death by his Daughter Lailah Marie; Grand Parents Daisy & Joel Hamilton,
and two Aunts. Lastly, Gary leaves six faithful friends/brothers: Stanley “Hass” Hassankhan, Troy “Bill” Billings, Vance Burgess, Robert “Barnes” Barnes, Jacques U Jac” Lynard, TL Fields, & one faithful cousin, Joey Hamilton all to carry on his legacy.
