Spring market seeking vendors for new event

The Butler County Cattlemen’s Association is playing host to an event later this month it hopes to make an annual happening in the Camellia City.

While plans are still falling into place, there are already plenty of vendors signed up “and more still coming in every day” for the organization’s inaugural Spring Market. The event is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at the Butler County Fairgrounds.

And they are still looking for vendors. Both inside and outside booths are available at a cost of $40 (sites with electricity are an additional $5).  The market will be held rain or shine with no refunds.

Organizers say that vendors already signed up will offer jewelry, candles, live plants, leather works, hair bows and assorted arts and crafts on display that day. In addition, there will be “lots of food,” including cakes, candy, ice cream, jams and jellies and much more to tempt the taste buds.

Children’s activities are also in the works, along with live music to entertain the crowd.

Admission will be $3 at the gate; children 12 and under will get in free.
