Joe Ed Salter, 78, a resident of Greenville, Ala., passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018. A celebration of life service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018 from the Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt Pleasant Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directing arrangements. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Survivors include: daughters, Angie Lee, Greenville, Ala., Sylvia Cartee and Daphne Coxwell, both of Pace, Fla., Debra Shows and Rebecca Oikle, both of Georgiana, Ala.; sons, Joe Salter, Greenville, Ala., and Jacob Salter, Foley, Ala.; sisters, Glenda Burke, Equality, Ala., Genese Mitchell, Brantley, Ala., Deborah Coker, Greenville, Ala., and Susan Reeder, Jacksonville, Ala.; and brothers, Paul Salter, David Salter and Perry Salter, all of Greenville, Ala.
