Clara Lee Hester, 91, of Ocala, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018.  Clara was born in McKenzie, Ala., to Newton and Alice Hester.  She has lived in Ocala since 2013.  She worked as a U.S. government civil servant for 33 years.  Clara enjoyed classical music, needlework, wine tasting, and hand crafting.  She was also voted Woman of the Year by ABWA – American Business Women’s Association.

Clara is survived by her sister, Mary “Annie” Nanry,; husband, George, of Ocala, Fla., and Eleanor Kaehlor of Quincey, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at 2 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana, AL, (334) 376-2500.  In lieu of flowers, send donations to Marion County Hospice in Ocala, Fla.
