Greenville native Barrett Leverette has joined Greenville Newspapers, LLC as a general assignment reporter.

Leverette graduated from Huntingdon College in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in English literature.

While in college, Leverette worked with RSVP Montgomery, a local social magazine, as the intern.

“It was at RSVP Montgomery, where I discovered my love for writing and publishing,” Leverette said.

Leverette attended Fort Dale Academy, graduating in 2012, and she also served as Butler County’s Distinguished Young Woman.

“This community has greatly impacted my life,” she added. “My hope is to be a voice for the people and learn more about the community and town I have always called home.”
