Matt Hutcheson has joined Greenville Newspapers LLC as a general assignment reporter.

Hutcheson is a Troy University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in English. He also attended Fort Dale Academy and graduated in 2008.

“I’m looking forward to learning more and writing about my hometown,” said Hutcheson.

“This community is filled with stories that deserve to be heard.”

Hutcheson has worked as a freelance writer for various print and online publications.

“We’re excited to have Matt join our team,” said GNL managing editor Jonathan Bryant.

“The wealth of knowledge and expertise Matt has already displayed in a short time will undoubtedly be a large asset to our newspaper and, by extension, this community.”
