Her first love in life was Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior and she served Him in many ways, most notably as a Bible study teacher. She did volunteer work at Friendship Mission in Montgomery, Ala., and at the Autauga Interfaith Care Center in Prattville, Ala.  Having a love for children and a deep interest in their intellectual as well as spiritual development, she served as a children’s tutor with Common Ground Montgomery.  In addition, she did private tutoring and also took part in the Lauback Literacy Council’s program of teaching reading to adults.  She never tired of helping others and gave herself toward that end.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends consider donations to Friendship Mission, Montgomery, Ala., Autauga Interfaith Care Center (AICC), Prattville, Ala., or Common Ground Montgomery, Montgomery, Ala.
