Covenant Warriors Church breaks ground

At Covenant Warriors’ 2015 anniversary celebration, these were the final words stated as they recounted the church’s 19-year history:   “For the past 19 years, we have built people, and we will continue to do so.  But now, Covenant Warriors, it is time to build buildings!”

Now, two years later and after 21 years of history, this part of the vision is about to be manifested.

On Sunday, Sept. 10, the church joyously celebrated during their groundbreaking ceremony to signify the beginning of the construction project.

As part of his statement of purpose, Pastor Leander Robinson stated, “As we break ground today, we take the first step in the actual construction of a new building for the worship of God and the study of His Word. He has led us to this site, heard our prayers, blessed our gifts, guided our plans, and will provide needed wisdom to complete this facility.”

Pastor Robinson further stated to the congregation that he has long awaited the sound of hammers ringing and earth moving equipment on our grounds and in this community.

The time has finally come and the Nehemiah spirit in Pastor Robinson says, this is only the beginning of many building projects to come.
