Lifeline Church in Greenville invites you to rock out in the open air with your friends and family on Saturday, September 9. The church, located on Fort Dale Road across from Captain D’s, is hosting a free Christian rock concert kicking off at 5:30 p.m.

Sanveet Saloman, a former Lifeline Church member who now lives in Atlanta, and his band Song of Ascents will be performing that night on a stage set up outside the church.

“We will have a few seats set up, but we encourage people to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and quilts to make sure they have a place to sit and enjoy the concert,” said Sandy Schofield of Lifeline.

Saloman was active at the church during his time as a student at AUM, says Schofield.

“He’s a great guy and he’s always loved music and played in bands. When he moved to Atlanta, he got together with other Indian musicians and started this band,” she explained.

“They have actually toured India performing rock music. This will be their first Christian rock concert in the U.S. and we are very excited about them coming to perform for us.”

There will also be concessions available for purchase at the event, including hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and soft drinks.

“This is open to the public, so we hope lots of people will come and join us for an awesome concert next Saturday,” said Schofield.
