Emily Lincoln to join ‘The World Race’

Emily Lincoln is doing more than just getting out of her comfort zone. She is getting out of the country. By this time next year, Emily’s passport will bear stamps from Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Haiti, and the

Dominican Republic as she visits eleven countries in eleven months with Christian organization The World Race.

During her senior year as a math major at Troy University, Emily found herself uncertain about her next steps. So she did what many of us do when faced with the unknown… she googled it.

She typed in “jobs that use math, travel, and help people” but was disappointed with the search results. Emily continued to pray for God’s direction, and the very next day an ad appeared on her Facebook page for The World Race. After viewing a video at worldrace.org , she knew this opportunity was for her.

Emily and her team will visit these countries with the mission of meeting the needs of communities while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Preaching door-to-door, working in orphanages, and participating in construction projects are just some of the ways the group hopes to “bring God’s Kingdom to earth while finding out who God has called them to be.”

Emily is a 2013 graduate of Fort Dale Academy and a 2017 summa cum laude graduate of Troy

University. She is the daughter of Leanne Lincoln and has called Greenville home since 2002.
