Mr. and Mrs. John Bender from Enterprise are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Shelby Bender, to Karl Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Wyche of Quitman, Ga., and Aimee Schmidt of Murphysboro, Tenn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joe and Betty Crook of Braggs, Ala., and Jeanette Bender from Letohatchee, Ala.

Bender is a 2010 graduate of Enterprise High School and Auburn University in 2015, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in animal science. Bender currently serves as a veterinary technician.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wyche of Pine Mountain, Ga. Schmidt is a 2012 graduate of Harris County High School, and he currently serves as an EMT with EMS Care in Columbus, Ga.

The wedding will be held on Nov. 11, 2017 at the Whispering Woods Farm in Enterprise, Ala.
