John Daniel Boggan, 81, a resident of Red Level, Ala., passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 from the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Antioch Methodist Cemetery with military honors. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., will be directing arrangements. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from noon until service time.

Mr. Boggan retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a paint auto-body instructor with Ed Reid Community College in Evergreen, Ala. The family would like anyone with vintage automobiles to bring them to be in the funeral procession since John loved working with and restoring old automobiles. John was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Boggan and Kenneth Boggan. Survivors include wife, Mary Ellen Boggan, Red Level, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Rebecca J Boggan, Sylacauga, Ala.; grandsons, Jonathan Boggan, Dallas, Texas, and Daniel Boggan, Sylacauga, Ala.
