Douglas Earl Boswell

Douglas Earl Boswell, born Dec. 26, 1945, passed away on June 10 after a lengthy illness. He served in the Army National Guard from 1965 until he retired in 1991 after his tour of duty in Saudi Arabia. He was the proud daddy of two wonderful, smart sons. He was a jack-of-all-trades, working with wood, all tools and even cement and roofing. He enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and traveling different places.
He is survived by his wife, Judy H. Boswell, of 47 years; two sons, D. Kevin Boswell (Melissa) and D. Kyle Boswell (Dana); two sisters, June Earnest (Van), Quincie Dour and ThomasBoswell (Carolyn), three grandchildren, Megan H. Boswell, Dylan K. Boswell and Kendall H. Boswell; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl Boswell and Eula V. Boswell; and sister, Jackie B. Leverett.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, June 17 at 1 p.m. at Brushey Creek Baptist Church, Greenville, Ala.
