Scott McLendon has been brought on as an intern for Greenville Newspapers, LLC. The senior multimedia journalism major hails from

Troy, Alabama.

“I’m excited to work with a publication that serves a small, tightly-knit community,” said McLendon. “With fewer resources and reporters than a more urbanized area, I’ll get to dip my toes in myriad waters, so to speak. My aspirations lie in writing at any capacity and this community is an excellent place from which to garner experience.”

McLendon will complete a 10-week internship with the Luverne Journal.

He is a graduate of Charles Henderson High School and is slated to do so from Troy University in December.

“We are excited to have Scott join our team for the summer,” Luverne Journal Editorial Coordinator Shayla Terry said.

“He has an eye for entertainment, and a striking vocabulary to match. He will be a definite asset to us.
