Madie Hood, 84, a resident of Georgiana, Ala., passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 at Providence Cemetery in Georgiana, Ala., with Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directed arrangements. Survivors include daughter, Vernice Josey, Georgiana, Ala.; son, Vernon (Diann) Hood, Georgiana, Ala.; grandson, Michael (Lisa) Hood, Helena, Ala.; sisters, Myra Delle Davis, Saraland, Ala., and Carolyn Lynch, Lanett, Ala.; and four great-grandchildren.
