Shelby Dewayne Gorum, 67, a resident of River Falls, Ala., was born Jan. 26, 1950 and passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Brooks Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directed arrangements. Shelby was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Gorum. Survivors include sons, Dale Taylor, Opp, Ala., Ladon Gourm, Georgiana, Ala., and Bill Gorum, McKenzie, Ala.; sister, Charlotte Powell, Bay Minette, Ala.; brothers, Bobby Gorum, Omaha, Neb., and Jerry Gorum, McKenzie, Ala.
